Our Mission is to ensure that every animal is treated with the respect that they deserve; to educate our communities on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets to solve the pet overpopulation problem; the humane treatment and care of all animals, and to help the many animals that are being put to death in our communities every day, due to no fault of their own.
All potential adoptive parents must fill out an adoption application, have a home inspection (dogs only) and a vet reference.
We take great pride in finding good homes for our stray and abandoned companion pet friends. All pet adoptions include spay or neuter, up-to-date shots, heartworm checked (dogs), FELV/FIV checked (cats), dewormed, vaccinated, have monthly flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention (dogs).
When coming to an adoption event, please be sure to give yourself and/or your family enough time to get to know the pet you are interested in adopting, ask fosters and volunteers questions, and fill out an application on-site or bring a copy with you. Please also bring identification for the application.
Half Way Home Animal Rescue DOES NOT have a shelter; all animals are awaiting their forever homes in loving foster care. By having pets in foster care, we are able to get a jump start on training, learn their unique personalities and ensure they are a perfect match for you!
