Arrival story: Sage was surrendered to Waggin Tails because her owners were no longer able to care for her.

Approximate age / Weight: 11 months/37 lbs

Personality: Sage bounded into the New Year and never looked back. She acclimated to her foster home pretty quickly and immediately claimed the resident puppy as her BFF. Sage loves to play and snuggle with the resident dogs and seems to prefer dogs her size or bigger. She reportedly lived with cats in her previous home and did well with them.

Sage is a typical, curious puppy who's still learning the ropes. Her favorite past time is chewing on a bone and she'll settle in for a lengthy nosh session. Sage loves her humans and loves to cuddle up. She does snore when she sleeps and makes no apologies. Be sure to have plenty of designer sweaters on hand because our baby girl hates being cold. Sage is still a pup, but she's already house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is ready to embark on her life's journey. She's sure to capture your heart with those expressive eyes and ears and the sweetest smile around.

Forever home: Sage would love to have a canine sibling to play and snuggle with, but she'd do fine as an only dog, as well. She's very affectionate and loves to cuddle, so she would be thrilled to join a family of cuddlers. Sage will do best in a home with older children. Since she's still a pup, she'd do best with an active family who would provide her with lots of walks, exercise, and also invest the time taking her through training classes.

ADOPTION INFO:

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. We generally have two adoption events per month. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of Saturday adoption events after an application is submitted and approved.

Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog.

Applications will be considered for the Southeast Michigan area.

We do not do out of state adoptions.

-Small Breed Adoption Fee - $275
-Senior Dog Adoption Fee - $125
-Pup Adoption Fee - $250 plus $50 spay/neuter deposit refunded upon proof of surgery by 6 mos.
