Meet RuthB
What can I say about RuthB? She may just be the most perfect girl that ever came through rescue!
RuthB came into foster care on Halloween day 2020, extremely pregnant! Two days later she delivered 7 beautiful puppies. Despite her amazing care, we did lose one baby at 3 weeks of age, as he was just unable to thrive like his siblings. The other 6 puppies grew into gigantic and utterly adorable babies and are all in fantastic homes.
RuthB should have been ready to find her home at that point, however, she was affected with grade 3 luxurating patellas in her knees, one of which resulted in a cruciate tear. She underwent surgery and rehabilitation to fix her left knee, and now she is finally ready to find her perfect home!
Ruth B is amazing. She loves all people and all dogs! She is good with the dog savvy cats in her foster home. She is crate trained, house trained, and walks nicely on leash. She comes when you call her when it in the fenced field, and she is always up for love and attention. Given the opportunity, she will spend all day long playing and wrestling with her canine friends, and then all night long cuddling with you.
RuthieB can be submissive with people if she thinks she's in trouble (she's never in trouble! But she worries she might be!) She can also climb over 4 foot fences if she's bored or feels she is missing out on the fun. Her greatest goal is to be with her people and her canine friends, but she is perfectly content chilling in her crate until it's time to play!
It's possible that RuthieB could need surgery on her other leg in the future if it becomes symptomatic or interferes with her ability to run and play, but right now it appears to be stable. It's important to keep her fit and trim so that she doesn't have to carry any extra weight and she keeps those leg muscles strong!
RuthB is gorgeous both in looks and in spirit and she acquires fans everywhere she goes! She loves to be loved!! She loves playing with other dogs! She is truly and darling sweet and sensitive girl who deserves only the best in life!
RuthB is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and on monthly preventatives. She is being fostered about 30 minutes south of Albany.
