Meet Rusty

Rusty came to us from a shelter after his family never showed up to claim him. Rusty is about three years old and is such a big goofball! He loves toys and balls and will flip them into the air to catch them.

Rusty will play fetch with you and roll into your lap. He would love to embrace his inner couch potato snuggle on the couch like a lap dog. He is a total sweetheart and wants to be with his human. He enjoys car rides and chicken nuggets.

He is 103 pounds and should fill out to 130 lbs. --he is a big boy and tall! His size can be intimidating but he is a big mush with a loving heart. He is quickly learning loose leash walking and where the treat zone is :) He is great around other dogs and is nonreactive to all the yappy pups that want to bark at him. He could possibly live with a female dog his size but no small pets, please.

Malamutes were born to hunt, pull, and live with their family. With pawsitive training, we can reinforce good behavior and watch the pulling, and predatory behavior slowly diminish as we build muscle memory. You will be amazed at the power of provolone cheese versus chasing a squirrel :) No force, just good treats!
