This handsome 5-year-old Pointer/Brittany Spaniel mix is looking for an active family who is ready to keep up with his energy, enthusiasm, and love of adventure! <br/>Ruger is the kind of dog who wants to DO things with his people! He loves to play, absolutely loves the water, and has experience with hunting and small-game retrieving. Hes also been around kids, livestock, and other animals and has done wonderfully! <br/>Now, we do need to tell you one very important thing about this adventurous boy... RUGER IS A RUNNER! <br/>He will need a home with a secure 6-foot fenced area to keep him safe. His recall also needs some work. In fact, while retrieving small game, Ruger was known to take off and not come back when called! So his future family will need to understand that reliable recall is still a work in progress and continue working with him on coming when called.<br/>Ruger is looking for someone who will appreciate his energy and give him plenty of exercise, playtime, enrichment, and adventures. Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy, water-loving playmate, or a dog who can join you for outdoor activities, Ruger is ready to get moving! <br/>Hes got a big personality, lots of energy, and so much fun to give.
