Meet Rue! <br/><br/>Dont let his tiny size fool you—Rue is convinced hes the boss, and honestly... everyone else seems to agree! This 12-week-old Pug/Shih Tzu/Dachshund mix is the self-appointed ruler of the puppy pack, bringing confidence, charm, and just the right amount of sass wherever he goes.<br/><br/>Rue is always in the middle of the action, whether hes romping around with his siblings, proudly carrying his favorite toy, or making sure everyone knows exactly how he feels. This little guy has a lot to say and isnt shy about sharing his opinions with the cutest puppy chatter youve ever heard. Rue does well with kids and is curious about cats but seems to be okay with them. <br/><br/>Behind all that confidence is a happy, playful pup with a heart full of love. Rue is looking for a family who will appreciate his larger-than-life personality, laugh at his sassy antics, and give him plenty of toys to rule over.<br/><br/>All dogs are brought current on their vaccinations up to the point of adoption. Parasite protection is also done with dewormings, flea/tick prevention application, and heartworm prevention. If old enough a heartworm test is done. The spay/neuter and microchip are included in the adoption fee. All our dogs go to their new homes with their collar/leash, dog bed, favorite toy(s), bowls, and some food to acclimate them. For adoption consideration, please fill out an application from our website at (www.causeforpaws.net). Please also read about our adoption process and requirements on the website. For the safety and convenience of our foster homes and their orphans, we will only consider applicants that are within a 100 mile adoption radius.

Cause For Paws's Adoption Policy
In order to encourage folks to rescue homeless Orphans, we try to make the rescue experience as non-invasive and pleasant as possible. First, an application is completed prior to meeting any of our orphans. Since we do not have a shelter, it’s important to be able to pre-qualify folks that will be making appointments with fosters, to meet any of our orphans. We do a vet check, to verify all current or previous dogs are up to date on vaccines, heartworm testing, heartworm prevention, and are either spayed or neutered. We may also contact references listed on the application when there is no previous vet information, or where more information is needed. We’ll then contact you to arrange a home visit, which is merely an opportunity to ask and answer any questions regarding our process. Since most of our orphans have already been in a situation that was not right for them, we want to do whatever it takes to allow them to succeed. It is not our intent to set a dog or a family up for failure.
