Ruby Beagle West Decatur, PA

Hi! My name is Ruby & I'm a very affectionate & loving female beagle. I'm very playful - I love fetch, tug-of-war, & ball! I'm about 1 year old, so I'm a very high energy dog. I love to jump, & I can jump high - 5 feet or so! I'm also very fast, so you can't dare leave the door open or I might dash out. I'm at that stage where I chew everything! And I love to dig! I still need training in terms of jumping on people & puppy biting. I'm a true beagle - I love to sniff & will take off if not in a securely fenced yard. I'm not possessive over toys or food, but I will growl if you come near my bone. However, my foster family is working with me on that, & I'm getting better. I have not been around children. I live with a 9-year old golden retriever, but I'm a bit much for older dogs. I'm housetrained & crate trained. I go outside basically every hour, & I will go to the door & cry to be let out in my fenced yard. I like to sleep on the couch & I would love to sleep in bed with my people! I don't particularly enjoy car rides, & I'm quite rambunctious in the car. My foster family is working with me on that also. For some reason, I'm starting to become afraid of loud sounds on walks, like motorcycles, busses, & trucks. Bigger dogs scare me on walks too, although I live with a golden retriever. I know sit & lay down. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & am scheduled to be spayed the end of July. However, if Nittany Beagle Rescue finds a forever home for Ruby before that, we can work with the adopter's vet to have her spayed (assuming the wait time isn't too long). Are you right for Ruby?
