Ruby Boston Terrier Waukesha, WI

Hi! My name is Ruby! My foster mom says I’m a tough chick! You see, I was found as a stray and I am blind, although the vet thinks I might be able to see shadows. I am a brindle and white Boston Terrier and I was used as a breeder dog for a long time. I am nine years old and 18 pounds. I’m not sure how long I was wandering the streets. I was not able to find food so I got very thin. All the hair on my ears and chest had fallen out. Some nice people took me to a place called MADACC (I call it “the big house”) where they took care of me until my foster mom sprung me and took me to her house. There I was treated like the special dog that I am. I was bathed, and fed and I was able to relax and just sit and enjoy life. I figured out the lay of the house quickly and didn’t bump in to a lot of things. Outside our yard is fenced (which I need in my next home) but I kept running in to it so my foster mom got me a Halo and everything worked better. I will need a Halo in my new home. My other senses tell me where my brothers and sisters are so I can find them. If my new home has other dogs, they need to be calm dogs. Sometimes when my foster mom goes to another room I get anxious and try to find her. I always want to touch, or lay near or sit on her feet just so I know she is near. She calls me a Cling-on but I know she says that with love. I wear a diaper in the house but rarely have an accident. I like playing with the other dogs but I sometimes get a little rough. That’s when my foster mom picks me up and I calm down in her lap. She carries me around all the time. I love car rides and ice cream cones! I sleep in the big bed and like to hog the pillows or sleep on my foster mom or dad. Most of my hair has grown back and I have gained lots of weight. I look healthy again. I need a calm household. And my new owners would have to be home most of the time with no children under 12. I have never lived with cats but would probably be OK. I have a lot of love to give, so please consider a sweet, elderly, spunky, little Boston Terrier like me. I am spayed and I am current on my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $350
