Ruby Boxer Mix Bethel, CT

Meet Ruby, a precious one-year-old, 40 lb. boxer mix. This sweet girl has not had a very good start to her life. She was found as a stray on the streets of North Carolina with a piece of metal chain around her neck. It was clear from her timid personality, and scars, that she endured neglect from her previous owners. Now that she is in a loving foster home in Connecticut, she is starting to warm up and show her true personality.

Once she's comfortable, Ruby LOVES to cuddle and will happily give you kisses. Her tail will wag happily as she takes treats gently from your hand and she is beginning to roll over for belly rubs. She enjoys the company of her humans, along with other dogs. Her foster family says she has great manners, is housetrained, and walks very well on leash. She needs an experienced adopter that is willing to take it slow with her and one whom understands decompression time with rescue dogs. This dog has been through a lot and just wants love. A quiet home and fenced yard is highly preferred.
