Look no further because Ruben is your guy! This 7-month-old, 13 lb. Aussie Doxie (confirmed 50% dachshund and 50% mini–Australian Shepherd with an Embark DNA test) is truly the best of both breeds. He seems to love every human, isn’t nervous around new dogs big or small, and loves his foster cats and doesn’t seem to be interested in chasing them. He hasn’t been around kids, but with the right introduction would likely be fine. He is potty trained and dog door trained but will likely need help in a new environment.<br/><br/>Some other facts about Ruben:<br/><br/>He doesn’t love to be crated and the ONLY time he’s ever barked is when he’s left in a crate. He has never barked otherwise, even when the other dogs are barking!<br/><br/>He LOVES food and is learning how to eat his meals slowly (and not eat everyone else’s meals). He does not have food or treat aggression issues.<br/><br/>He loves his humans. A LOT. He wants to be with you, staring at you, licking your face, and sleeping on and with you. He’s equally great on his own playing with his foster brothers but be prepared for a dog that would like to be everywhere with you!<br/><br/>He’s not TOO long and his legs aren’t TOO short! He has medium-length, black, white and tan/black brindle fur and an adorable underbite.<br/><br/>He’s smart, but not stubborn. He hates to be scolded and learns very quickly. <br/><br/>He’d do well in a very active family that goes on adventures!<br/><br/>Are you ready to let this little love join you on all of your adventures?<br/>*Except tin foil
