Handsome and goofy Royce is looking for an incredibly special home! He is 45lbs, between 2 and 3 yrs old and looking for an active home where he can be the sole receiver of attention!
Royce is very friendly with all people, but he especially likes the ladies. He would do best in an active home where he can receive lots of stimulation, as he can be quite a nudge. He is super affectionate and a true velcro dog. His favorite activities are chewing kongs and rubber balls, playing fetch, and following his humans around the house. Once his exercise needs are met, he doesn't mind settling in for a good nap. He just wants to be involved in whatever you do!

Medium energy for an ACD, he was on exercise restriction for heartworm treatment and will need to build back up his stamina, after which he may reveal himself to be a high energy dog! While Royce wants to please people and knows a variety of commands, he will need an adopter with breed/herding dog experience. He can be strong-willed and has a habit of chasing every kind of vehicle (bicycles, trucks, cars, lawnmowers, etc.). Because of this, Royce can be difficult at times on a leash, and will need a home with a fenced yard in a more quiet setting as opposed to one in the city or dense suburbs. He is house-trained, but subtle in indicating when he needs to go out, so will need to be on a regular outing schedule.

Royce is looking for a child-free home where he can be the only pet, but homes with dog-savvy teens will be considered. He is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, has been on heartworm prevention since moving into foster care, and will be adopted out under a neuter contract. Royce is being fostered in Malvern, PA.
