Roxy's Story

Looking for an easy puppy who’s already mastered the basics? Meet Roxy!

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect mix of playful energy and "pro-level" cuddling, Roxy is your girl. At 4 months old and just 7 lbs, this adorable Chihuahua mix is a dream for first-time owners or anyone looking for an stress-free addition to the family. Her foster mom can’t stop raving about how truly simple and sweet she is!

While most puppies are a whirlwind, Roxy is well behaved and gentle. She is already house-trained and—best of all—sleeps through the night! She loves to play, but she isn't chaotic.

Why Roxy is the ultimate companion:

The Perfect Size: Expected to stay under 15 lbs, she’s a portable best friend.

She’s good with other dogs and young enough to learn the ropes with cats.

Because of her small size and tender nature, she’ll thrive in a home with respectful children (8+).

Resilient Heart: Sadly, Roxy was a Christmas gift whose owners decided they weren't ready for a dog. Despite that, she remains a loyal, affectionate girl ready for a real forever.

If you’re looking for a "plug-and-play" puppy who is ready to settle right into your heart (and your lap), Roxy is waiting for you!

If you are interested in adopting there is an application below! This is the first step. We do not schedule meet and greets without an approved application.

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog

The adoption fee for this dog is $550 which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. You will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will need proof of sterilization from the vet in order to receive the $100.

98% of our adoptables come from out of state. There are higher fees associated as we have to pay to have the animals transported. We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
