Roscoe Australian Shepherd Mix Cypress, TX

Roscoe (aka Tex) is a survivor. He came to us very sick with Parvo but still gave tail wags and kisses whenever given the chance. After an overnight stay at an animal hospital and a follow up vet visit a day later, he was quickly on the road to recovery. He bounced back within a couple of days and started showing his great personality. He is smart and funny and full of love. He has a feisty side that loves to play and wrestle. He has a curious / investigating side that watches everything and likes to explore new things. Mostly – he has a loving personality and wants to be held, cuddle and give you kisses. He likes all people and other dogs that he has met so far.
Roscoe (Tex) is an Australian shepherd / cattle dog mix. We estimate he is about 11 weeks old and is currently 9 lbs (up from 6 when he was sick). He will likely be medium sized when full grown. He is gaining weight quickly and is now a happy / healthy puppy. Although he is now healthy, he will “shed” the Parvo virus (via poop) until around December 5th or so. Until that time he needs to be in a home as an only dog or with a dog that has previously had Parvo. He would likely do fine in a home with healthy, vaccinated older dogs (not young puppies) but we recommend ensuring other dogs have no contact with his poop to be safe. Currently he poops either on a piddle pad or in a separate area outside where his foster uses doggy bags to “catch” his poop to ensure no possibility of contact by other dogs.
