He is very expressive, loves his people, is a kiss-aholic, empathetic and very smart.

Personality
Rosco is an affectionate velcro dog who wants to know where his people are and be with them more than anything else. He will watch you through the window and check on you when he is outside. He prefers people over other dogs. If your door is closed he will lay right outside of it until you come out. He learns quickly and listens, and definitely understands you, but can be stubborn just like a bulldog. He wants to be cuddly and will give you a hug if you are sitting down. He isn't drooly at all, which is nice since he loves to be so close to you. He will lick you when given the chance. His thing is to lick your hand as you walk by. He lets other dogs be dominant and does not try to be alpha. Rosco is a tattle-tale and will come announce to you that another dog needs to go out or has had an accident or other infraction. Communicative and in tune with others around him. He has been in his foster home for over a year to learn more manners, become more confident, and be socialized to other dogs. Now he is well adjusted and ready to go.

Background
Rosco was surrendered by a family with kids in South Houston who got him as a young puppy. They had to move out and couldn't take him with them. The mom and kids wanted to keep him very badly, but the father insisted they rehome him. They bent over backwards to make sure that he was placed in a foster home with a rescue and worked hard to comply with every requirement to make sure he was safe. He was very loved.

Compatibility
Dogs - yes, has lived with multiple other foster dogs in 2 foster homes
Cats - yes, tested and approved. Has learned to be calm around cats. (But still excited)
Kids - yes, may be a little strong for younger kids
Potty trained - perfectly, big bladder!
Has been trained not to jump up

Good Neighbors Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adoption Policy Visits are available by Video chat with the adoptable pet's foster home (Facetime or Zoom). Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com and we will get you in direct contact with the volunteer who fosters the pet you are interested in. GNAR is all foster home based and volunteer run. We don't have a facility for visiting animals, but pets are fostered and socialized in home settings by volunteers. This makes our adoption process more personal, as every foster home knows their adoptable pets well, and keeps our overhead costs to a minimum. Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com to foster, donate or volunteer. All adoptions require an application to be submitted and screened. After approval, payment of an adoption donation holds the pet for you. It takes about 2-3 days to complete the application process, from initial inquiry to pick up of the pet. Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com to request an Adoption or Foster2Adopt application to be sent to you. All adoptions are conducted at a local pet store.
