Meet Rocky — a gentle, soulful boy who just wants a place to belong.<br/><br/>Rocky is a flat coated retriever and, at about 6 years old, has the kind of calm, loving presence that makes you want to sit down next to him and stay awhile. He’s incredibly cuddly, affectionate, and gentle with both people and other dogs. Rocky isn’t high-energy or demanding — he’s happiest just hanging out in the yard, soaking up fresh air, and being near his people. No long hikes required… just good company and a soft spot to land.<br/><br/>He does best in a home (he does not like being in a kennel!) and would really love a yard where he can relax outside. He has shown that he does well with other dogs, cats, and children.<br/><br/>Rocky is heartworm positive, but has just completed fast-kill treatment. He will be retested in November and will go through treatment again (covered by ZAR!) locally if he is still positive. <br/><br/>Rocky has so much love to give.
