This sweet, easygoing boy loves his people, enjoys a little playtime, and is happiest when he can relax close enough to get some affection. At about 2 years old and 39 pounds, Rocky is a Goldendoodle with lovely indoor manners and a calm, gentle nature. He knows sit and down, is fully housetrained, and has done so well in his foster home that he can enjoy the run of the house while his foster is away. He is generally quiet, rarely barking unless the other dog gets things started first. Rocky enjoys chasing a ball, playing with his canine friends, and chewing on his favorite toy. One of his sweetest habits is resting his chin on his person's leg to ask for some loving. He walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car, although he prefers to take care of his potty business off leash. Rocky is recovering from the amputation of his back right leg (he was hit by a car), and the area is still tender as he heals. For now, he needs a little extra care and gentle handling. Once he has fully recovered, his relaxed personality and easygoing ways may make him a wonderful fit for many different homes. He has settled in nicely with the dog in his foster home, and he was friendly to the clinic cat during his stay at the vet hospital. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
