He has a very low energy level and learns at an unhurried pace. His ideal family wants a peaceful companion rather than a hiking partner or a dog expected to learn many tricks. Robin may mark frequently during his first few days in a new environment. In his Korean foster home, the marking stopped completely after he adjusted. Adopters should expect to manage temporary marking during his transition.

AT A GLANCE
Age: Born in 2019, estimated
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 43 pounds
Body Condition: Slightly overweight
Energy Level: Very low

Robin is affectionate, quiet, easygoing, and friendly with everyone he meets. His foster describes him as extraordinarily patient and naturally happy. He may need extra time to understand new lessons, but his calm temperament makes him an easy companion.

PEOPLE AND CURRENT FOSTER HOME
Robin loves both women and men. He does not need a special introduction or treats to feel comfortable with someone. He currently lives with children, dogs, and cats in his New England foster home.

OTHER DOGS
Robin gets along very well with dogs of all sizes. He lived with 3 dogs weighing between 11 and 26 pounds in his Korean foster home. He may gently invite another dog to play but does not pressure dogs that are not interested.

HOME LIFE
Alone Time: Approximately 4 to 6 hours on weekdays and 5 hours on weekends in his Korean foster home
Separation Anxiety: None observed
Barking: His foster has never heard him bark
Destructive Behavior: None observed
Furniture: Prefers sleeping on the living room floor and does not climb onto sofas or beds

POTTY TRAINING AND MARKING
Robin does not have bowel movements indoors. He may mark frequently during his first few days in a new home. His indoor marking stopped completely after several days in his Korean foster home. A new family should expect another brief adjustment period.

WALKS AND EXERCISE
Routine: 3 walks daily
Typical Walks: Approximately 20 minutes, 15 minutes, and 10 minutes
Robin walks well and prefers a relaxed routine. He may walk longer in cooler weather. Outdoors, he tends to move straight ahead and tune out his surroundings. He comes when called unless something has captured his attention, so his recall should not be considered reliable outside.

STAIRS
Robin is not afraid of stairs. However, his broad head and short legs make them physically awkward. He may move slowly and should not be rushed.

CAR RIDES
Robin rides well in the car. He needs to be lifted into the vehicle. He can exit independently but may hesitate at first.

CRATE AND GROOMING
Robin enters his crate well. He does not enjoy bathing and once tried to jump out, but he remains patient and allows the bath to be completed.

FOOD AND TREATS
Food: Acana Free Run Duck in his Korean foster home
Eating Habits: May not finish immediately but usually finishes when encouraged
Favorite Treats: Enjoys all types of treats

TOYS AND RESOURCE GUARDING
Robin shows little interest in toys or structured games. He has not shown resource guarding with food, belongings, or resting spaces.

HEALTH AND CARE
Current Health: Reported as healthy
Weight: Some weight loss would be beneficial
Allergies: None known
Ears: Occasionally shakes his ears, although no significant debris was found during a veterinary cleaning
Parasite Prevention: Must continue every month throughout the year, including winter

RESCUE STORY
Robin was rescued from an overcrowded municipal kill shelter in South Korea.

IDEAL HOME
Robin will thrive with a calm family looking for a gentle and undemanding companion. He does not need strenuous exercise, hiking, advanced training, or constant entertainment. His family should be patient with his learning pace, allow time for initial marking to resolve, and avoid rushing him on stairs. In return, Robin offers a peaceful temperament, an easy relationship with people and dogs, and a cheerful approach to everyday life.
