Ripper's Story

** This is an Out Of Town listing. We transport to the city on this listing. Please apply at www.bit.ly/mu-adopt **

Meet Ripper — a fabulous little guy with enormous ears, a heart full of love, and absolutely no idea how big he’s going to be yet!

Ripper is about 3.5 months old, and while we can’t guarantee his breed mix because we don’t know his mom or dad, he and his brother Nurgle sure look like solid black German Shorthaired Pointers. So that’s what we’re going with until someone proves us wrong with a DNA test. And honestly, we hope his future family gets one because we’d LOVE to know!

Those big ol’ velvet ears are one of Ripper’s best features, but his personality is what will really steal the show — and your heart. This boy is a lover. He loves to cuddle, loves being around his people, and enjoys playing with his brother. He’s also being fostered with cats and is doing well with them.

Ripper should do well with kids who understand that puppies are still learning about manners, personal space, and the important concept of “not everything needs to go in your mouth”. He’s an active puppy who will need continued training, socialization, exercise, and plenty of appropriate outlets for all that puppy energy. He's doing great with potty training, and with a consistent routine we know he will continue to do well.

We’re not sure exactly how big Ripper will be when he’s grown, but we expect him to be a big boy — likely over 60 pounds. So if you’re looking for a tiny puppy who will stay tiny... well, keep scrolling.

But if you have the time, patience, sense of humor, and genuine appreciation for puppy shenanigans, Ripper might just be your guy. He’s adorable, affectionate, playful, and ready to grow into an amazing companion with a family willing to put in the work.

Apply to adopt Ripper at the link below. For adopters from TN to VT, our next transport leaves Mississippi on 10/2.

______

HOW TO APPLY TO ADOPT:

Start by filling out our online application at www.bit.ly/mu-adopt

Once submitted, we will reach out to approved applicants by phone. We may also suggest other amazing dogs in our care who could be a great fit for your home.

**NOTE: Completed applications take priority over Petfinder inquiries or emails.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $450 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. NOTE: We cannot guarantee breed mix or full grown size. Both are estimates based on physical characteristics and any known history.

To see more of the fur babies we rescue and love, follow us on Facebook: Misfits & Underdogs (www.facebook.com/misfitsunderdogs)
