Meet Rigby

Rigby is a 9 year Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix (possibly a few other things in there!) He is a stocky solid guy weighing about 12lbs.

Rigby is a sweet loving fun guy! He had a rough few weeks a couple of months ago. In his previous home, he would get out a lot (which is why he will require a VERY secure stockade fence) and roam the neighborhood which didn't end to well one day. Rigby found himself in the mouth of a bigger dog that's caused him some pretty good bruising, puncture wounds and pain. After a couple of weeks healing, he became more comfortable and his spunky side started to show!

Rigby is house (uses a doggie door) and kennel trained. Unfortunately in Rigby's previous home, he was left outside a lot and allowed to roam where he picked a yucky habit of marking things. He has gotten a lot better in his foster home. His new home will just need to give Rigby time to soak in that he has a new awesome family and home!

Rigby does great with dogs big or small (bigger dogs scare him at first but he does good once he knows they mean no harm) although he prefers to play with dogs his size more. He does like to play with the cats in the house too! He chases them but doesn't like to be chased back by the cat bigger than him! Rigby has not quite mastered the art of walking on a leash so this is a work in progress. Since he is not great on a leash and used to having a doggie door an apartment lifestyle would not be ideal for him.

After a day of playing with his foster fur siblings Rigby enjoys sitting in a nice warm lap. Considering he can be a skittish sometimes a home with no small children (12+) would probably be best (his foster doesn't have children.)

Rigby will need a home with another dog his size to play with.

Rigby is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $200.
