6-7 year old Remi is one of the cutest and most handsome guys in our program. <br/>He was rescued from a high kill shelter of Houston where he was a staff favorite, due to his amazing disposition. <br/><br/>Although he is a senior dog, being a plotthound, he is still quite active and loves to play in the yard with his foster doggie siblings, and enjoys having zoomies.<br/><br/>Remi is only 47 pounds, and neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. <br/><br/>He’s sweet, loving, and full of potential. This boy just wants a chance to be someone’s whole world. <br/><br/>Remi is also very smart, and super velcro. He usually lays behind his foster dad's chair when his foster dad is working from home. <br/><br/>He loves his doggie bed and being an indoor dog. But he also likes to go outside and explore the yard whenever the door is open. <br/><br/>Remi is good with dogs, and usually ignores the neighborhood cats, and loves people and children. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. <br/><br/>Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
