Regina 3591's Story

06/21/26 — Meet Regina! DOB: 03/14/25

Don’t let her shy first impression fool you—Regina has a hilarious, one-of-a-kind personality that’s just waiting to come out. She usually needs about 30 minutes to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, you’ll quickly see how special she is.

Regina is smart, eager to please, and very easy to train. She already knows her basic commands and picks up new tricks fast. And when we say “ball is life,” we mean it—fetch is her absolute favorite, especially with squeaky balls. She also loves toys, puzzles, and anything that keeps her brain and body busy.

She’s a total Velcro dog who loves being close to her people, but she also enjoys playing with others and does great with dogs of all sizes—and even cats.

Regina is potty trained and crate trained. She loves car rides, trips to the park, and curling up on the couch with her favorite humans. She gets fun bursts of energy, but she’s also a professional cuddle buddy who’s happiest with pillows, cozy spots, and a little AC.

She does best with kids around 10+ since younger, louder children can make her nervous—but she isn’t aggressive. She’s just looking for a family who understands her and gives her the space to feel safe and shine.

Regina would be happy as your one and only or as part of a pack. She has so much love to give and is ready for a forever family who will appreciate her sweet, silly, smart personality.
Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
Foster Application Adoption Application
