Full of sunshine and fairy dust—that’s Raya! Now that she’s in a foster home she is quickly learning house manners. Now around a year old, Raya is still a puppy and loves to play with other dogs. She is having fun with her foster-sister, but has also learned to leave the old dog alone. Raya listens to mild corrections like Uh-uh, Leave It, and Down. She enjoys her crate time as well as she’s learning her new environment. Even though she’s full of life, Raya is pretty low-maintenance and a joy to have around. She is not destructive in her crate or with toys. She will also let you know if she has to go outside to do her business.

Raya is a beautiful leggy and svelte hound mix puppy around 8 months old and weighing 35 pounds. She is so delicately built that we wonder if she is part whippet! This happy-go-lucky goofball makes us laugh every day! She is just a joy to be around and the life of the party.

Raya is very athletic, with an impressive vertical leap! A fenced yard would be great so she will have a place to run safely. The fence would have to be at least 6' tall - or she may bounce right over it! She also enjoys the treadmill and the agility equipment at Red Barn. She needs an active owner who will enjoy her puppy antics and who matches her energy.

Raya's very sweet and loves EVERYBODY! She is totally dog friendly and loves to play! She is still very much a puppy but is a quick learner with a desire to please. She still "mouths" for attention and has to be reminded not to jump on people when greeting them, so a home without small kids would be best until she grows and perfects her manners. She is such a good-natured dog that we know with good leadership, she will be a wonderful and entertaining addition to your family.

Raya is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Our $350 adoption fee helps to cover these expenses.
