Raven's Story

Raven is a bright, athletic 14-week-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix with all the loyalty and eagerness to learn that her breed is known for. She’s growing into a wonderful young dog who loves being part of her humans’ day.

Raven sleeps well in a crate overnight, though she occasionally needs a quick potty break — pretty normal for a puppy her age. During the day she spends her time outdoors in a fenced yard or relaxing in a kennel, and she’s already showing great recall. She comes when called and can sit on command, making her a fun puppy to continue training.

Like most GSPs, Raven will thrive with daily exercise and room to run. She’ll need a fenced yard or a very active person who can give her plenty of physical and mental activity. She’s social with other dogs and enjoys their company. With cats, she’s curious and will chase if they run, so a dog-savvy cat or a cat-free home may be best.

Raven is affectionate, smart, and ready to bond deeply with her forever family. She’ll make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates an energetic, loving puppy with tons of potential.

You can email maryhsow@gmail.com with any questions or fill out an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application. Please note: serious inquiries only. Meet-and-greets are available after an application has been approved.
