Quincy's Story
8/12/26- Rancherias x Yucca Loma. No MC. DH ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 8/18/26 ***** Intact male ~3 yrs. old 65 pounds Vaccines given 8-13-26 No microchip ALT ID# 8-12-26 13 8-15-26 friendly, happy boy, walked on the leash well 9/2/26 - he is a very outgoing and friendly dog with staff. He walks well on a leash. While walking past the other dogs he ignored them but had his hackles up and tail high the entire time. He is very playful and goofy. Quincy is very food motivated but takes treats quickly and with force staff felt more comfortable throwing the treats as he could bite a finger/hand in the process of being overly excited about food. *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull on 8/19/26; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian. Interested adopter(s) should email an adoption application to animalservices@applevalley.org or call 760-240-7555. Any current rescue partners or rescues interested in partnering with our facility are encouraged to contact us at AVASrescues@applevalley.org or call us at (760) 240-7000 ext. 7519 to coordinate rescue pull and transportation. *****
