If you are looking for a sweet little Velcro dog who will sit in your lap, follow you everywhere and snuggle with you at night, Pumpkin is your girl.<br/><br/>Pumpkin is a young (2-3 years) probably JRT/Chi mix. <br/><br/>While Pumpkin has an incredible energy level and loves nothing more than racing around in the backyard chasing squirrels and birds, she calms after that energy dispersal and curls up in her foster mom's lap or her bed and sleeps soundly. At night, she wants under the covers, curled warmly with her foster family throughout the night. <br/><br/>She's completely housetrained and will let you know when she wants out! She is very people and children friendly, but cautious at first. She LOVES toys and will keep herself occupied playing with them and throwing them up in the air. <br/><br/>We do understand that Pumpkin does have some issues (but who of us doesn't?) Pumpkin is protective and will bark at strangers. She wags her tail when barking so is not aggressive, but we understand the barking can be an issue for some. She also doesn't like other dogs and will bark at them. She needs a home body who just wants a small companion. <br/><br/>She would do great in a home where someone works from home or where the family members work different shifts. She loves to run in a yard so a fence would be great. If she can be walked in an area where there aren't a lot of other dogs out walking she does love to go for walks. <br/><br/>She is up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, micro-chipped and spayed. <br/><br/>If interested in Pumpkin our application can be found at www.homesfurhounds.org.
