Pucci's Story

Pacci recently came into rescue.
Pacci (pronounced paw-chee, after Al Pacino) is a sweet, scruffy, approximately 2-year-old medium-sized lurcher/sighthound, mini greyhound mix looking for a very special forever home.
Pacci is searching for a new family after the heartbreaking loss of
the person he loved most, and now he deserves another chance to find that kind of bond again.
Pacci was raised in a quiet home and isn't the type of dog who loves every stranger he meets. Instead, he forms incredibly deep connections with his person. Once he trusts you, he's your shadow. He is happily spending his days curled up beside you, resting his head on your lap, or following you from room to room.
He's already shown that, given a little patience and kindness, he is capable of transferring that same love and devotion to someone new.
Pacci loves other dogs, especially bigger dogs—and would probably love having a canine playmate. He's been around dogs of all sizes throughout his life because his owner frequently fostered and babysat animals. He also grew up with cats and even shared his home with a macaw, so he's comfortable around a variety of animals.
Like many sighthound mixes, Pacci enjoys running and playing, so a fenced yard or an active home would be ideal.
He's house trained and knows simple commands.
Pacci perfect home would be someone who understands that trust takes a little time—but knows that its absolutely worth it. Once you're in his heart, you're there forever.
If you're looking for a loyal best friend rather than just another dog, Pacci might be exactly who you have been waiting for.
Pacci is neutered, his vaccines will be updated, health check, microchip, flea/tick treatment, wormed prior to adoption. Located in southern Idaho, transport is provided to approved home within the Pacific northwest, email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com ask for Pacci.
