Princess $300 Special Needs's Story
HELP US FIND PRINCESS A FAIRY TALE ENDING!

Are you ready to welcome Princess, a 1 yr old diabetic dog, into your heart and home? Although she is a young dog, she'll bring old soul energy into your home. Individuals with medical, veterinary or T1D experience are encouraged to apply. But if you don't have experience, that's okay too! We will teach you!

We are looking for a special family to adopt Princess. Our goal is to make this a smooth transition and we are here to support you with training and $200 in donated diabetic supplies.

Princess is an (almost) one-year-old, spayed 35 pound mixed breed. We don't know her breeds but we think she looks like a kelpie or rat terrier mix.
Princess was abandoned by her owner when she became critically ill. She then traveled between multiple facilities and states before settling into her long-term Wisconsin foster home. Her foster family is very familiar with type 1 diabetes and is ready to share their knowledge with you. They are committed to being a long-term resource for any adopter.

Princess is a gem; she is a happy thriving girl who enjoys neighborhood walks, playing with her dog friends and chewing on toys. She is house and crate trained. Gentle on leash. Quiet. Loves car rides. She is best matched in a routine-oriented home, with adults or teen children. She is great with calm dogs and lives with cats, but she would also love to be an only child.

Princess receives daily Insulin shots, eats a set diet and requires monitoring of her blood glucose levels. Her new owners will need to invest in her ongoing care.

We are accepting applications to adopt Princess and we hope you'll consider making a difference in this special pup's life. She promises to be your loyal companion. With proper blood sugar management and diet, she should live a normal and happy life!

Please consider applying or spreading the word. We know her people are out there, but it takes a village to find them.

OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS ARE ALWAYS CONSIDERED FOR A WELL-MATCHED FAMILY WILLING TO TRAVEL.

Apply here: www.reyofhoperescue.org/adopt
Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin.
