Prancer's Story

Meet Prancer!

Prancer is a 2-year-old mixed breed with a story full of resilience. She originally came to us as a tiny puppy alongside her litter, "Santa's Reindeer," and was adopted into what we hoped would be her forever home. Recently, she found her way back to us after being picked up by Animal Control. Sadly, we were unable to reach her previous adopters, so we don't know what life looked like for her over the past two years.

What we do know is who she is today-and she is absolutely wonderful.

Prancer has been back with her original foster family for the past few weeks and has settled in beautifully. She's now ready to find a true forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and secure for the rest of her life.

This sweet girl has a big personality and an even bigger heart! She loves to play and will happily keep you entertained with fetch or tug-of-war for as long as you're willing. She is fully house trained, sleeps well in her crate, and has excellent house manners. Prancer is independent and trustworthy when left alone and is not one to get into trouble.

She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. Around cats, she is cautious but respectful. Once playtime is over, Prancer is all about affection and will happily snuggle up beside you.

Prancer is fully grown, weighs about 45 pounds, and has regained most of the weight she lost while at Animal Control. One of her siblings had a DNA test done that showed approximately 31% Pit Bull Terrier, 28% Rat Terrier, and 13% Golden Retriever, with smaller amounts of Chow Chow, Beagle, German Shepherd, and Rottweiler. Prancer also has a naturally short docked tail, and several of her littermates had varying tail lengths as well.

After an uncertain past, Prancer deserves a future filled with consistency, love, and happiness. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, and well-rounded companion, Prancer may be your perfect match!

If you are interested in adopting Prancer, please fill out an application at
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY/Dog

Applications can take 5-7 business days to process. Please check for a confirmation email after submitting and be sure to check your spam or trash folders for responses. We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster-based rescue without a shelter building.
