Our Mission

The Fayette Humane Society (FHS) was founded in 1973. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. We are staffed entirely by volunteers.

Rescue & Foster: FHS is dedicated to rescuing homeless animals in our community. We do not have a shelter, therefore all of the animals we rescue live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence and care they deserve. All of our adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their vaccines and microchipped.

Spay & Neuter: The FHS is dedicated to ending the needless suffering of unwanted pets through our aggressive spay/neuter program. Please visit our website (fayettehumane.org) for more information about our spay/neuter program.
