Porcini's Story
Porcini entered Los Angeles Animal Care and Control's Baldwin Park Shelter as a stray, and sadly, no one came for her. Weighing 12 lbs., she is a sweet, lovable girl who does well with other dogs and is very respectful of cats.

Since becoming a Frosted Face, Porcini has gone on several Frosted Flings and Field Trips, and despite her foster families having only positive things to report, she hasn't found the forever home she deserves. Currently living in a Foster home, Porcini is once again showing how adaptive and easygoing she is. Her foster mom shares:

"Porcini is such a sweetie and so grateful for a home and a squishy bed. She doesn't "show well" on-site because she tends to be in her own little world, so she gets overlooked during Open House at FFF.

Porcini loves head and ear scratches, never barks or cries, and doesn't need walks, just little breaks to toddle around. Her favorite thing is exploring, and she loves grassy areas to sniff and walk around.

The best environment would be a quiet home with other nice pets. She is residing with a jumpy large dog and a bossy medium size dog and just follows them around. A home with small children wouldn't be suitable.

Other things to consider:
* Porcini cannot do stairs. She is only 12 pounds, so I carry her.
* She is a good eater, liking small kibble, roasted chicken and cooked ground turkey.
* She has met many people and other dogs and is indifferent, but follows me around because she is smart, and knows I have opposable thumbs and therefore open Tupperware!
* She goes several hours between potty breaks, and is good overnight if she isn't fed after 5 pm and gets a bedtime potty break.
* She is good in the car and during bath time, including nail clipping and face washing.

Porcini is deserving of someone that just is willing to take care of and love her. She might never lick your face or wag her tail. The most appreciation you may get is her happy sleeping snorts and her delightful moans and chirping while she eats her food."

To meet Porcini, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
