Very few accidents lately

Play with toys - looks like she wants to sometimes, but hasn't yet. Once she picked up a toy and brought it to her bed. We picked up Greta too for a short visit. Pom really liked having a friend her size and Pom really perked up with her.

Less shy - somewhat. She comes closer to us now, and doesn't run as much when we walk by her. She'll let my husband pick her up more. Still struggles alot with taking a treat out of our hands. It's only happened a handful of times (Except at bedtime) She hasn't barked much at all. Once inside when she thought someone was here. Once or twice outside at neighbor, with my other dogs barking. She lacks confidence and definitely needs another dog to help show her the ropes. She has made progress in coming in / out of doors and quickly goes out or in to go potty in the yard.

Walking on a leash - great. Make sure she walk on one side or the other and hold her to that side.

Crate trained - does fine - we've done around 4 hours so far. We have an Intermediate Ruffland we use for our bird dogs that she goes in. No accidents or issues that we know of. I don't have a camera on when I'm gone though.

Where does she sleep- In a dog bed next to my bed. She gets "sausage pass" (a little bedtime treat that we do for all our dogs) and she knows exactly when 9pm hits. I tell everyone "Lets go to bed" and she runs to her bed and waits for the treat. She loves "sausage pass"She has slept in the bed, but isn't super familiar with how to get down safely, so we keep her on the floor when sleeping. I've cuddled with her on the couch and in bed alot. She is leery at first, but then settles in quickly. She gets hot under the blankets and pants sometimes. But is nice to cuddle with.

Do we have a cat- No. We have homing pigeons and chickens in their runs in the yard. She's very interested in them, but still cautious. She cannot get to any of them to bite but likes to keep an eye on them. I have 2 Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, (fuzzy bird dogs) and she gets along with them great. I have had her at Bong with our bird dog group walking with them. They're all larger than her, so she prefers not to be super close to them, as they can be rambunctious and might step on her. She did fine when we walked at the back of the pack on the trails (on leash).

How’s she for grooming- I bathed her the morning after I picked her up. Bath and blow-dry was not something she requested., but didn't bite or cause too much struggle. When I shower every morning, each dog gets a little nip of coconut oil from my bathroom (I use it on my skin) and she knows that routine very well.

We HOPE you consider Pomfret to ADOPT!!

ADOPTION FEE: $650

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.

Adopters must be 24 years of age.
