Meet Poly
Polly is a 5 month old ACD mix looking for a patient person or family of her own. She's a sweet girl that is a little nervous of new people and dogs but as her confidence builds she has come out of her shell more and more.
She likes to go for little backyard adventures and tends to stick pretty closely to the people she trusts. She needs work on leash walking skills as a collar and restraint is fairly new to her. When she's scared she will run and hide so she will need someone with a fenced in yard or that will work patiently with her as she learns the ropes of domestic puppy life. She's good with children but will startle if they make a lot of or any big commotion.
She's become comfortable around chickens, sheep and horses. But she will need to improve upon her farm-life skills if that's the direction of her future. She does all the normal puppy things like chew things, nibble people, jump, whine, yip and get in to the things she's not supposed too. She is doing great with crate training and does good with housetraining when she's on a consistent schedule under a watchful eye.
Because of her soft and timid nature Polly does not enjoy dog parks. She is not a candidate for an underground electric fence containment system or a city apartment life.
She is current on preventatives and will be adopted with age appropriate vaccines and on a spay contract. Her adopter must be willing and able to meet her at her home for adoption. She's being fostered in Deerfield, NH
