Petunia's Story
Meet Petunia!

This tiny, spicy girl is a rarity at the shelter. We think she is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi as opposed to the more common Pembroke Welsh Corgi, or maybe she's just a mix or was poorly bred, who knows! She has the typical protective side that corgis tend to have, but she also has been displaying some resource guarding behaviors. For this reason, we are going to be very selective about who adopts her. We believe she has never been told "no" or been corrected for her bad habits in the past, but with time and patience she could break out of them. She is truly precious and deserves someone who is willing to help her and not just get upset and ignore her when she is bad. If you have experience with breaking resource guarding, she will make a great dog.

*CONTACT SHELTER DIRECTLY BY PHONE FOR MORE INFORMATION AND STATUS UPDATES*

If you rent and wish to adopt ANY animal from us, you must bring the lease agreement/ proof that you are allowed to have the pet, and an addendum if necessary.

Shelter Hours Below:
Tuesday through Friday- 10:00AM to 4:30PM
Saturday- 10:00AM to 3:30PM (Appt Only Please)
Sunday- Closed
Monday- Closed

12471 Taylor Complex Lane, Ashland, VA 23005

(804) 365-6485
