Petey's Story

Pointer mix Petey was only given one day to get out of a high kill shelter in North Carolina but get out he did--and he is one happy pup! Whew!<br/>At 8 months old, Petey weighs about 55 pounds, he has a ball running around with his friend Frankie, another great dog who just narrowly escaped the shelter. Petey has the pure sweetness and will make a great friend and companion to anyone up for some kisses and fun! Petey had been injured when the shelter took him in from what looks to be a bullet wound but he has recovered nicely and has put his misfortunes behind him. Petey is now ready for a brand new life with a loving family (preferably with a fenced yard, please)! He is up to date on his vaccines and will be neutered by the rescue. To ensure the best fit for both the dog and the adopter, we require a completed adoption application, three personal references (including your current veterinarian), and a home visit, either virtual or in person.
