Our Mission
At Second Chance Habitat, we’re a volunteer-based dog rescue organization in Virginia Beach (and surrounding areas) committed to saving as many homeless and at-risk dogs as possible. Our mission is to give animals in harm's way a second chance at life through foster care and responsible pet adoption.
Whether you're looking to adopt a rescue dog, become a foster parent, or simply learn more about our dog rescue efforts, we invite you to get to know us: www.secondchancehabitat.org
Adoption Policy
Our goal is to match each of our rescue dogs with a safe, loving, and permanent home. To ensure the best fit for both the dog and the adopter, we require a completed adoption application, three personal references (including your current veterinarian), and a home visit, either virtual or in person. If you do not have any pets, then the request for a vet reference does not apply.
As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we put our hearts into every adoption. For more information about our adoption process, please visit www.secondchancehabitat.org/adoptions
Thank you for choosing to rescue and save a life!
