Hellooooo beautiful people, it's so very nice to meet you! My foster says I'm like royalty, so I have been working on my entran... uh... introduction. I'm Perdita and I'm a 3 year old, 35 lb. Beagle mix. I may not have as many spots as my namesake, but I'm just as beautiful (so my foster mom says and who am I to argue?) I came into rescue pregnant, and now that I'm almost done with being a mommy, I'm on the lookout for a perfect family to call my own.

Soooooo, let's be honest, ok? I didn't have a great life before entering rescue. I wasn't treated well by men, so I don't trust them or people I don't know. End result? I'm very insecure, so I need a lot of reassurance that no one will hurt me again. Luckily, I'm not fearful in that I hide or cower, I'm actually quite outgoing once I know I can trust you.

I'll need a family that understands me, is willing to take things slow, and gives me time to warm up to things. If there are men in my new home, kindness and patience will be critical to me learning how to trust them again. TBH, what I'd really benefit from is a quieter home with no youngsters and not a lot of people coming and going, it makes me more at ease and feel more confident. The other thing I want you to know is that I wasn't really around other dogs until just recently, so when introductions happen, I'm not so great at them. If my new home has other doggy friends, I'll need help being introduced to them, but I think having another dog to pal around with would be phenomenal!

Now that we got all that stuff out of the way, let me tell you about my awesomeness! I'm completely house and crate trained, easy going in the house and I don't mess with or destroy things. I do great with cats and other dogs, they just need to be patient with me. I am extremely playful, always up for a good game of tug of war or fetch, and am straight-up silly. I loooooove to talk, roll around, kick the couch pillows all over the place, and I can get the zoomies at a moment's notice. When I click with my person, I will be a devoted shadow, following your every move, love you with every fiber in my being, and am always up to chill with you. I love sitting on your lap (no lie, I have spent hours laying on my foster's lap), and I love a good snuggle almost more than anything!

On the flip side, I'm totally up for a good hike, an adventure, or just getting out and exploring so long as we're together! All you gotta do is ask and then it's game on! PS - despite me being a hound, I rarely bark, so don't worry about me being noisy. Overall, if you are looking for a snuggly, devoted, playful-as-all-get-out friend, look no further, because I am totally your girl!

??I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on shots.
