Peony's Story

Meet Peony!
Some dogs come into rescue because they've never known love.
Peony came to us after losing the person she loved most.
This sweet 8-year-old, 12-pound scruffy terrier mix has spent her life as a cherished companion, and it shows. She has been well cared for, well loved, and knows exactly how to be the perfect little house dog. Now she's searching for someone to love just as deeply.
Don't let her age fool you—Peony may be 8, but she certainly doesn't act "old." She still enjoys life's simple pleasures, but she's happiest just being close to her people. She is quiet, calm, affectionate, and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can spend her days by your side.
Peony is completely potty trained and has such wonderful house manners that she doesn't even need to be crated in her foster home. She's the kind of dog who simply settles in, makes herself comfortable, and enjoys being part of the family.
She does well with other small dogs and would be happiest in a home with older children (10 and up) who understand that sometimes the best moments are simply sharing the couch together.
This little lady is already spayed and will be visiting Dr. Skube in just a few days for a dental cleaning, updated vaccinations, and a microchip. After that, she'll be completely move-in ready for her forever family.
If you're looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who will quietly steal your heart, Peony just might be your perfect match. At just 12 pounds, she's the perfect size to curl up beside you while you read a book, watch a movie, or simply enjoy a quiet evening at home.
Peony's adoption fee is $235.
Interested in adopting? Visit FairyDogmotherRescue.com and follow the directions to submit an adoption application.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can give a dog who has lost everything is simply another chance to belong. We think Peony is more than worth it.
