Peony's Story
Peony will be ready for her new home soon!

Born in early March, this adorable Dachshund/Chi/Terrier mix is irresistibly cute and all puppy. She’s busy discovering the world in true puppy fashion—if it’s on the floor, she’ll likely try to chew it or eat it; when she has to potty, she goes right where she’s standing; and if she’s hungry, bored, or ready to play, she’ll let you know with plenty of whines and cries. Typical puppy behavior through and through!

Peony currently weighs 3 pounds and is growing every day. Her mom, Iris, weighs 16 pounds, and all possible dads are under 20 pounds. Based on her size and breed mix, Peony could live 18+ years and will be a high‑energy companion.

This little girl will need a committed adopter who has plenty of time, patience, and dedication for training and socialization (as outlined in our adoption agreement). Before applying, please thoughtfully consider your lifestyle—if you work 40 hours a week, Peony may not be the right fit for your household.

Peony will be available on 5/8 and will come dewormed, microchipped, and with her first vaccines. The adopter will be responsible for additional vaccines and boosters, spaying, and any training costs.

If you think Peony might be the perfect match for you, applications can be found on our website: www.homesfurhounds.org
