My name is Penny Lane. I'm a 3 1/2 year-old, 19-pound Chihuahua mix girl, and I'm looking for a home I can call my own forever. I had a rough life before the nice folks at Rescue One found me, and I am trying to get used to being a loved pet and learn my house manners. I'm learning how to go potty outside and getting better about that every day. I'm also trying to learn to be comfortable in my crate and walk on a leash. I do get along well with other dogs, so maybe another dog in my forever home would be a good idea to help me learn. I would be okay as an only dog though. I am also good with kiddos of all ages, so one or more kids to play and cuddle with would be nice too. I haven't met any cats, so I'm not sure how I would do around one of them. I need a home with a fenced yard -- no apartment life for me. I tend to be a bit fearful of new people and situations, so I need a kind, patient person to show me how it feels to be loved and help me gain some confidence.
