Pebbles's Story

NAME: Pebbles aka Puzzles
Sex: F
Color/Pattern: Chocolate brown and white
Breed: 75% Staffie 13% bulldog 12% Rottweiler
Weight: 40lbs
Age : 4 yrs
BDAY : Feb 26, 2022
Intake date: Born in her foster home
Coat length: short

Description
Pebbles is a low rider with stubby legs and gorgeous shiny coat the color of milk chocolate brown. If she were in highschool she would be the amiable pretty jock with tons of friends and a bubble brain.

Personality
Pebbles was originally named Puzzles by her foster home because her pattern of white against dark brown looked like puzzle pieces when she was a puppy. Her nick name is Miss Piggy because she makes snuffling noises when she is looking for a treat on the floor that she missed. Treats notoriously bounce off of her face because she has never gained the coordination to catch treats in her mouth like the other dogs in her foster home can do. Puzzles was the runt in her litter and still is the smallest of all of the puppies according to the full grown weights reported by their adopters. Her momma also had short legs. Pebbles doesn't need much supervision. She is well behaved and content to be in her crate for hours. She knows when you are getting ready to leave and goes straight into her crate without being told to. She is quiet and patient, and a diva who doesn't want to go outside when it rains. She doesn't even make any noise when you get home to ask to be let out. Besides snorting like a pig, she only makes noise when playing with the other dogs. Her short stature makes it so she is always on the bottom of the dog pile. Pebbles is curious and likes to come over to help when you fill her bowls. She pops her head in between your knees when you are bending over to see what you are doing.

Background
Pebbles was born in her foster home to a foster dog named Summer, who had been found wandering as a stray. With 8 larger brothers and 1 sister out-competing her for milk, she was hand fed for several weeks. Her momma's foster home didn't know that Summer was pregnant and didn't find out until they took her to her spay appointment after several weeks. So the large litter of 10 puppies were somewhat of a surprise! All were adopted in 2022 including Puzzles, whose adopter named her Pebbles. In 2025, Puzzles was found wandering on the street as a stray. Luckily her microchip number was still registered with the rescue's info, so her finder took her back to her original foster home who took her in again.

Compatibility
Dogs - YES
Cats - YES
Kids - YES

Good Neighbors Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adoption Policy Visits are available by Video chat with the adoptable pet's foster home (Facetime or Zoom). Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com and we will get you in direct contact with the volunteer who fosters the pet you are interested in. GNAR is all foster home based and volunteer run. We don't have a facility for visiting animals, but pets are fostered and socialized in home settings by volunteers. This makes our adoption process more personal, as every foster home knows their adoptable pets well, and keeps our overhead costs to a minimum. Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com to foster, donate or volunteer. All adoptions require an application to be submitted and screened. After approval, payment of an adoption donation holds the pet for you. It takes about 2-3 days to complete the application process, from initial inquiry to pick up of the pet. Email us at GNARAnimalRescue@gmail.com to request an Adoption or Foster2Adopt application to be sent to you. All adoptions are conducted at a local pet store.
