Peanut's Story

Mister Peanut.... the peanut... There is not a single better way to describe him, he's simply the king! Peanut enjoys the finer things in life, cuddling, cuddling, sun bathing, some more cuddling, and sometimes he's got the itch for some playtime! While Peanut is definitely more shy when meeting strangers, a couple gentle invitations onto your lap, and he's your best bud. Extra points if you've got dehydrated liver, or hotdogs! Peanut knows all of the skills of house-dog living from his crate-training, house-breaking, and simple commands; what makes him a standout? His absolute zest for companionship! Whether he finds it in other dogs, cats, or YOU at any given moment; despite his hesitance, he ALWAYS breaks through, and that's what we love to see! Peanut is only a couple years old, and weighs in around 15 pounds, he's lived happily with other animals, and enjoys kids who are gentle, and well-mannered. We can see Peanut doing well in just about ANY home willing to give him the time he needs to adjust!

My adoption fee is only $210! This fee covers all of my vaccines, microchip, nex/heartguard, heartworm test, AND my spay/neuter!

Think I might be the right fit for your home? You can apply for me here https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/ OR you can apply in person when you come visit me any day during business hours! You can even adopt me that same day once approved!!

Please Note: All adoptions are on a first-come first served basis with approved adoption applicants. We do not hold animals unless the adoption is out-of-state, and fees apply. The animal's welfare is our first and only priority, in doing so, they are moved from the shelter into their respective homes as quickly, & humanely as possible to remove the risk of undergoing extreme stress, compromising the immune system, & behavioral concerns.

DISCLAIMER: Genetic Breed accuracy is NOT guaranteed; we assess by the following:

Interview with or paperwork from with the previous owner
Intake evaluation observations (behavior, physical appearance, and energy level)
Source documents from which to analyze characteristics
Consultation with other staff
