Peach's Story

In the dead of winter, January 2024, a selfless mama was seen running through a peach orchard in Chesnee, SC, very pregnant and all alone. Then, she disappeared. However, she had taken refuge under a church, where she gave birth to seven perfect puppies. This remarkable mama whom we named Peach; kept her pups safe, hidden, and loved. Upon discovery, she proved to be an absolute 10 on the mama scale—devoted, nurturing, always by their side. We safely trapped her and brought her seven puppies to safety. One by one, her beautiful pups were adopted into loving homes. And Peach? She’s been patiently waiting…Watching…Hoping.

This 50lb spayed, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative (thanks to heartworm treatment) mama is estimated to be a 4yr old boxer/staffie mix. She is quiet, easy-going, and makes friends with adults and kids wherever she goes. Peach is ok socializing with other dogs while out and about hiking etc but she would prefer a home without other dogs (and no cats please). She is crate trained, house trained, and rides well in the car and boy does she love to play especially with a ball!

She has no problem with young dogs who are playful and unchallenging and respectful of her. If a dog wanted to start something with her, she could definitely tango, but that is not her desire.

She is presently being fostered in Brevard, NC. We require veterinary reference checks as well as a home visit. Therefore, you must be within a reasonable driving distance from
the areas we serve Mills River NC/Greenville SC.

We respond to all adoption inquiries so please be sure to check your junk/spam folder if you email us through PetFinder that you are interested as our response often goes to junk/spam.

Adoption application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSea0RmKngqzXzOqHdkabLk5R-m388WfCfE6xQ2pCFLXqp6x3Q/viewform?usp=sf_link
