He is neutered, microchipped, up to date with all shots, dewormed, given flea treatment and weighs apx 13 lbs. He is fully grown. <br/><br/>Pasquale is a happy and friendly pup that loves spending time with his humans. Pasquale enjoys sniff-ari walks, playing, and gardening for interesting discoveries. <br/><br/>He is a friend to everyone he meets and gives them doggie hugs and lots of tail wags. He is active, loves to be read to, and is quite clever at learning new things.<br/><br/>Above all, Pasquale appreciates being held, pampered, and cuddling with his humans.<br/><br/>Pasquale is incredibly loving and gentle, always looking for someone to snuggle up with for a nap. <br/><br/>He is a smart pup, willing to interact for a treat and always looking for someone to take him on an adventure.<br/><br/>Backstory:<br/><br/>Pasquale was brought into the shelter with about 10 other siblings when his caregiver was taken to the hospital and did not return. We have made this information available directly on our website to help you, our adopters, learn more about Pasquale prior to inquiring about a meet & greet. <br/><br/>Please read thoroughly before reaching out to usthis will help reduce the number of emails we receive every day and in turn, allow us to respond to the emails we do receive more quickly!<br/><br/>Please note that a dog's behavior often varies from one environment to another, and a decompression period in a new environment can last days to months.<br/><br/>General Personality: <br/><br/>Pasquale is shy with new people but will usually let them pet him after sniffing.<br/><br/>Daily Routine: <br/>8:00am- go out for pee <br/>8:30am- eat <br/>9:00am- cuddles <br/>10:00am- play!<br/>12:00pm- snacks<br/>2:00 nap <br/>4:00 play <br/>5:30- dinner <br/>6:00pm- go out for pee <br/>7:00pm- tv time and wind down <br/>9:00-10:00- bed time<br/><br/>Housebroken?<br/><br/>Pasquale is getting familiar with the routine, floor plan and inside/outside house boundaries.<br/><br/>Pasquale prefers grass and is given plenty of access to relieve himself outside. <br/><br/>Pasquale would be a great candidate for a doggy door as hes very clever.<br/><br/>House Training Progress: <br/><br/>Pasquale will let you know when he needs to go potty outside but will require some guidance on the layout of his new homes floor plan so as to navigate how to find you and how to exit to the grass area. <br/><br/>Behavior Around Dogs, Cats, or Kids: <br/><br/>Pasquale is good with small, gentle dogs. Curious at first but then engages in play. <br/><br/>The foster home he is in doesnt have cats or kids.<br/><br/>Energy Rating (1 = very high; 5 = very low): 2<br/><br/>Leash Walking Rating (1 = difficult; 5 = perfect): 2<br/><br/>Leash Behaviors: <br/><br/>Social puppy that wants to please and smell everything. Typical puppy behavior, loves to explore. Needs patience, redirection and attention. Slowly learning the routine.<br/><br/>Crate Rating When Left Alone: <br/><br/>3 - is currently in an open crate at bedtime that is surrounded by a closed x-pen. <br/><br/>Does the dog sleep through the night?<br/><br/>Yes, especially if fatigued due to playtime.<br/><br/>Other Quirks: <br/><br/>Pasquale likes to be at your feet when you are working from home. Thats his favorite spot. He wants to be the best helper.<br/><br/>What makes him/her happy? <br/><br/>Attention, food, patience, training, mental, social and physical activities. The usual stuff that makes every being happy.<br/><br/>What makes him/her nervous or unhappy?<br/><br/>Pasquale is growing more confident everyday. He is slowly becoming more independent and relaxed. Growing to realize that his current and future humans will never abandon him and that he will never want for food or anything else.<br/><br/>Other Displayed Behaviors: <br/><br/>Sleeps more deeply at night if hes had a full day of physical activity.<br/><br/>Current Walking Device: <br/><br/>Leash, harness and collar<br/><br/>Currently Eating: <br/><br/>Taste of the Wild Bison kibble with one smashed hard boiled egg and small spoonful of canned pumpkin at each meal.<br/><br/>Pasquale is fed twice a day with healthy snacks in between. <br/><br/>***<br/><br/>KenMar Rescue is a 501c3 charitable organization. Meaning, in the event that you are no longer able to provide for your new family member: who will get the dog, where is this stated in writing, etc. The Successor person will be asked to participate in the adoption process (zoom calls, in-person meeting, etc.) so they are part of the decision-making from the beginning and are aware of the orphans needs.<br/>We are located in 2.5 hrs east of San Francisco (on the way to Yosemite). Please consider transportation logistics to meet (and possibly adopt) your new family member.
