Papaya is the last of her siblings to find a home, and she is patiently waiting! She is an Aussie/German Shepherd Mix who will likely grow up to be about 45 pounds when full grown. She is approximately 8 weeks old, and has plenty to learn from her new family. Papaya is a typical puppy who enjoys playing and exploring, and she also enjoys being cuddled and taking naps in a comfy bed.

We often adopt same day as the first visit an interview but it is not guaranteed. Some dogs will take multiple visits and adopters are approved based on the best fit for the particular animal being considered. We do not hold pets during the process.

Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills. Please be prepared to provide that training and dedication that will be needed.

We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.

It is important everyone in the home is introduced to the new pet.

We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.


Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
