Otis Catahoula Leopard Dog Manhattan, KS
- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered.
- Good in a home with
- Other dogs.
Otis is a sweet boy and wants to be the best “best friend” for his family and wants to spend all his time with them. He is playful, actually still very much a puppy. He loves to go to the dog park. However due to his breed he can get a bit dominant or intimidating. Otis also loves his chew toys and playtime with the other dogs living in the house. He is easily scared by things he doesn’t know and will pee on himself. We are still working on potty training, but he is getting the hang of it. Otis shouldn’t be kenneled because it does make him nervous.
Although this neglectful situation has caused him some anxiety, Otis is still a very happy pup that is looking for a family to please. If you’re interested in adopting Otis please apply at purple-paws.org. The adoption fee is $200- this helps cover the cost of vaccinations, preventatives, and spay/neuters.
FOSTER UPDATE 9-4-19:
Otis is a sweet, smart boy and wants to be the best “best friend” for his family. He is playful and still very much a puppy. He gives the best cuddles and is always happy to see his people. Otis also loves his chew toys, walks, swimming and playtime with the other dogs living in the house. However, he is reactive to other dogs he encounters. He is currently in training to overcome this behavior. Otis is house trained and knows basic commands. Due to his background he should not be kenneled since it causes him great anxiety.
Otis is a 2-year-old Catahoula Mix. He loves people, children and will tolerate cats. He came to us from a neglect situation. Otis is very energetic and needs at least 30 – 60 minutes of aerobic exercise such as playing ball, running, walking or agility training per day as well as mental stimulation.
