Oscar's Story

5 year old, 15 lbs.,male dapple Dachshund mix. Oscar has been treated for Heartworms and made a full recovery. He's great with dogs, doesnt even pay attention to cats but not good with small animals. Loves people of all ages. Just wants to snuggle up against you, in your lap, and sleeps right next to you under the covers. He is working on housebreaking, which is understandable considering he really had no structure or trainings before he was rescued by a good Samaritan. Once he finds his forever home, on a schedule, housebreaking should be easy. He's a very sweet and laid-back little fellow. He just wants to be loved and with people. He will make a wonderful companion. He does get a little upset when left alone. So a home with someone who is home most of the time, where he can go with his people, or someone willing to work with him would be best. s
