Oreo's Story

Oreo is a handsome 3-year-old, 20-pound black and white Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix (full DNA below) with a soft, non-shedding coat. He will require regular professional grooming throughout his life, and thankfully hes a great sport about it.

Oreo is a calm, well-mannered companion who settles beautifully into his home routine. Hes happiest lounging near his people, going for leisurely walks, or proudly carrying around his favorite little football toy. He walks nicely on leash, is potty trained, well behaved in the home, and has an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to live with.

Oreo is affectionate, loves back scratches and belly rubs. He gets excited with tail wags and zoomies when his foster family gets back home, even if they were only gone a short wild. He gets along well with other dogs and will tolerate cats, but we believe he would be happiest as the center of someones world in a home where he doesnt have to share attention.

Oreo is an outgoing boy who will happily allow pets with new people he meets. However, we have learned that until he fully knows someone, he will require slow handling when it comes to more direct handling such as picking him up or moving him unexpectedly. For this reason, Oreo is looking for a quiet predictable adult only home. He would do best in a home without children or visiting grandchildren and with minimal coming and going. An adopter willing to continue the routines and positive handling techniques that have made him successful will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal, loving companion.

If youre looking for a devoted, calm, and handsome best friend who will happily settle into your daily routine, Oreo may just be your perfect match.

OREOS DNA:

23% Lhasa apso
18% Shih Tzu
17% American Cocker Spaniel
15% English Cocker Spaniel
14% Miniature Long-haired Dachshund
13% Maltese

Oreo's adoption fee is $400 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines/deworming/flea treatment.
