Orca's Story

Looking for a hiking companion? Meet Orca! 🐾⚡

This extremely high-energy girl is searching for her forever home and she is NOT for the faint of heart. Orca is basically an energizer bunny in mini husky/Aussie form! She lives life in fast-forward and loves nothing more than showing off her legendary zoomies. In her mind, she's definitely the fastest dog around and she's not open to debate on that!🤪

Orca is friendly, social, and absolutely loves snacks, adventure, and anything that involves movement. She especially enjoys chasing birds, exploring, and staying busy. At just around 10 months old, she is still very much a puppy and has lots of energy, curiosity, and learning ahead of her.

Because of her herding instincts and high drive, Orca will need a secure, fenced-in yard and an active home that can keep up with her lifestyle. She does have a strong tendency to chase and herd anything that moves, including small animals and even toddlers, so a very managed environment is a must. No children under 10 due to her play style we want to set her up for success and prevent her from being returned because of her expert herding skills. Yes, she's a pro! 😉

She also has a very mouthy, rough-and-tumble play style, so she will need dog companions who are confident, tolerant, and comfortable being herded.

Orca is a big personality in a compact, athletic package she needs structure, activity, and someone who understands her working-dog brain. For the right experienced home, she will be an incredibly fun, adventurous, and entertaining companion. 🖤Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00. The adoption fee may be higher or lower than stated however, and is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run discount specials and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee.

Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. With felines, we always have an "Adopt one, bring another one home for free" adoption special!
