Oh Opie. You can not possibly be any cuter. This sweet boy was left tied up outside of the HARTT shelter. Opie was skin and bones with a body full of ticks and bold spots all over. His skin was a mess and he was a broken soul. He was just so, so sad and terrified. It was heartbreaking. What was this sweet boys story, who would tie up a dog and leave him to sit in a strange place overnight? Well, we did track down the heartless person who left Opie as he had a microchip. Lets just say, we are so glad Opie is with us and he will no longer have to live a life of neglect and fear. Opie's body has finally healed and he is slowly becoming more and more confident every day. Opie will thrive as an only dog with a life full of soft places to nap, a daily walk and a family to spoil him rotten. He does wonderful with kids and loves every human he meets. Opie would be most happy having a family all to himself. Others dogs get him on edge and we simply feel that he has paid his dues and he is thriving in as an only animal in his foster home. Opie is about 7 years old. He loves to go on car rides and has done well with his current training to help him walk on a leash. Opie will make a wonderful companion.
