She is absolutely adorable and bursting with personality.<br/><br/>From day one, Opalite has done all of her potty business outside like a champ so we consider her fully house-trained. Once she settled in and learned to trust her foster humans, her funny and sassy personality really began to shine. She has become a silly, bossy, entertaining little diva who keeps everyone smiling.<br/><br/>Opalite absolutely loves being near her people. Her favorite place is the bed with her humans, though she will also sleep in a chair in the living room at night especially if its covered with her foster dads robe so she can snuggle into it. She enjoys playing and cuddling with the other dogs in her foster home and often seeks out human companionship, though she still prefers not to sit in laps. Her leash training is still a work in progress. She can be left home alone with no issues while her foster parents are at work. <br/><br/>She quickly mastered going up and down stairs because her biggest motivation is simply being close to her people.<br/><br/>As an ex-mill dog, Opalite is still nervous around new people. When house guests visit, she initially prefers to stay in another room, but with time and patience, her curiosity begins to win out. By the third day with guests, she was already venturing out to investigate them.<br/><br/>Because of her puppy mill background, Opalite will need another confident mentor dog in her forever home, along with a securely fenced yard. We cannot adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. We are unable to guarantee the breeds of our dogs.<br/>WI License #270548.
